YOGA, MEDITATION & HEARTFULNESS

NISV has made ‘Yoga’ integral to its academic program.

 A spiritual and ascetic discipline of ancient India, a part of which includes ‘Pranayam’ [breath control] and simple ‘Dhyan’ [meditation], is widely practiced for health and wellness at NISV.

The school acknowledges that life, today, with its innumerable facilities of technology-aided learning, brings with it added responsibilities, and consequently, varying degrees of stress that affect adolescents. The impact is visible in their academic, social, and emotional growth.

NISV chooses to work proactively. Our morning assemblies start with meditation enabling the students to experience the calming effect it promises. It helps students to look within, introspect, and add value to their daily routine through connecting with themselves. These few minutes of silence help students to calm their minds leading to a perfect start for the day.

Regular Heartfulness Meditation sessions are planned for the whole school, which not only helps students to focus and concentrate on their studies but also helps them to relax. It reduces tension in all parts of the body and helps to stay balanced even in an examination situation. This enables the students to lead healthy and stress-free lives.
