MYP- The students are continuously assessed in different ways. These may be oral, written, presentations, and projects. The assessments are categorized as Diagnostic, Formative, and Summative. The assessments are designed as per the objectives specified by the IB. Besides these ongoing assessments, there are two term-end assessments also. The Year-end Report considers the whole year’s performance as a student.
PYP- Assessment in the PYP is an ongoing process of gathering, reflecting, analyzing, and acting on student learning. The ongoing formative assessments and the Summative tasks help teachers to assess the learning process and the learning product. In the PYP students are provided opportunities for self -assessment and peer assessment which helps them progress towards achieving learning goals. Evidence of student learning is monitored, documented, and measured using a variety of tools and strategies thus making learning transparent to students, teachers, and parents.
